Troubleshooting

1: “What is the root of the SD card?”

The root of an SD card is the top-level directory on the card. It's the first folder you see when you open the SD card on your computer. Essentially, it's the location where all other folders and files reside on the SD card.

2: “The game just boots normally with no changes.”

Make sure the "City Folk Deluxe Core" option in Riivolution's menu is set to "Enabled". Otherwise, try reinstalling the mod. Maybe you either put the mod's files in the wrong folder or didn't unpack something.

3: “The loading screen bus animation keeps on playing forever.”

It is possible that you didn't install the mod correctly. Try downloading and installing the mod again. This issue may also be caused when your SD card is write-protected. Remove your SD card and shift the lock switch to the "unlocked" position.

4: “When trying to save screenshots, the game displays an error message that no SD card was found.”

The original game only supports writing screenshots to SD cards with 2 GB capacity. This issue may be addressed in a future update.

5: “USB devices such as an external keyboard or the Wii Speak don't appear to function.”

This is a technical limitation of Riivolution. Thus, it's not possible to use these devices when launching the mod via Riivolution and this cannot be fixed at the moment.

6: “I'm playing on Wii U and trying to get back to the Home Menu crashes the console.”

This is a Riivolution bug. As a workaround, hold the Power button on the Wiimote to turn off the console when you want to exit the game.
